- The three Kenyans, including Clinton Nyapara Mogesa, were reportedly lured into the conflict while working for private security firms in Qatar.
- According to Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence, Bagaka and Mogesa arrived at a recruitment center in Yaroslavl, Russia, on September 27, 2025, with Gititu joining a month later.
- A Kyrgyz national, Salizhan Uulu Almamet, is said to have signed contracts with the Russian military on their behalf and controlled their bank accounts.
