The Kenyan government has disbursed Ksh 2.54 billion under the January 2026 Inua Jamii payment cycle, benefiting over 1.2 million vulnerable Kenyans. This crucial financial aid aims to support targeted individuals amid prevailing harsh economic conditions and drought in several parts of the country.

• A total of Ksh 2,541,683,000 has been released to 1,213,214 beneficiaries.
• The funds target 1,149,276 older persons and 63,938 persons living with severe disabilities.
• Each beneficiary will receive Ksh 2,000 for the January 2026 payment cycle, accessible digitally via the e-Citizen platform.
• The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, through Principal Secretary Joseph Motari, announced the disbursement on Friday, February 6.
