The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) of Kenya announced plans to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced digital tools to combat complex corruption and financial crimes, positioning technology as a cornerstone of future investigations. EACC Chief Executive Officer Abdi Mohamud emphasized the urgency for African oversight agencies to adopt these technologies to counter increasingly sophisticated financial malpractices.

• The EACC has automated 58 percent of its processes, aiming for full digitization, supported by robust ICT infrastructure.

• Kenya will host the Centre for Anti-Corruption Studies and Research in Africa (CEREAC), set to launch in June 2026.
