Several Kenyan Cabinet Secretaries have announced a new wave of government appointments and reappointments across various state agencies and boards, with less than a year remaining until the next general elections. These appointments cover crucial sectors including security, finance, education, energy, tourism, transport, and culture.
- Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen appointed Ibrahim Mugetha Ndung’u to the Firearms and Licensing Board and reappointed Yakub Rashid Abdullahi as its non-executive chairperson, both for three-year terms starting February 6, 2026.
- Treasury CS John Mbadi reappointed Moess Mirr and Rachel Putani Leyian to the Kenya National Entrepreneurs Savings Trust, and appointed Jennifer Cirindi Njiru as chairperson of the Council of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM).
