A power struggle has erupted within Kenya's Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition after former President Uhuru Kenyatta attempted to reshape its leadership, moves that the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) has yet to ratify.

• Uhuru Kenyatta convened a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, unilaterally appointing Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka as the new Azimio party leader, replacing the late Raila.
• The meeting also saw the removal of Junet Mohamed as party Secretary-General, replaced by ODM Suba South MP Caroli Omondi, and Philip Kisia took over as Executive Director from Raphael Tuju.
• ODM, a key coalition member, rejected these changes in a letter to the ORPP, stating they were "ultra vires" and "null and void" because party leader Raila was not informed or involved.
• The ORPP clarified that its procedures require consideration of views from all affected individuals and allows a 14-day window for objections before ratifying such changes.
