De Heus Kenya, a global animal nutrition company, will launch a Ksh 3 billion (USD 23 million) animal feed manufacturing facility in Athi River on February 18, 2026. This significant investment aims to boost Kenya's livestock and agribusiness sectors by improving local feed supply, quality, and consistency.

• The Athi River plant will have an annual production capacity of 200,000 metric tonnes, expandable to 260,000 metric tonnes.
• The launch ceremony will be attended by Mutahi Kagwe, Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development, and Dr. Juma Mukhwana, Principal Secretary for Industry.
• The facility is expected to create approximately 250 direct jobs and up to 1,000 indirect jobs, and will source raw materials like maize and soybeans from Kenyan farmers.
