The Police Reforms Working Group (PRWG) has condemned the alleged transfer of six police officers accused of assaulting young men over a late-night pool game in Nandi Hills, calling it a reward for misconduct and a hindrance to accountability.

• The PRWG stated that administrative transfers do not constitute accountability and instead foster impunity within the National Police Service.
• The National Police Service had previously announced that its Internal Affairs Unit (IAU) was investigating the incident and recommended administrative action against the officers.
• Senator Samson Cheragey claimed the accused officers, including the OCPD for Tinderet, the OCS for Songoh, and the OCS for Nandi Hills, were redeployed to stations across Nairobi, such as Lang’ata Sub-County, Central Police Station, and Pangani Police Station.
• The PRWG also criticized Coast Regional Police Commander Ali Nuno's order for police to use force against criminal gangs in Mombasa.
