Four top-performing students from Karunge Secondary School in Mathioya Constituency, Murang’a County, were rewarded with their first-ever helicopter ride for their excellent 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results. This unique reward, organized by Ahadi Kenya Trust CEO Dr. Stanley Kamau, aimed to motivate students and demonstrate that day schools can achieve academic excellence.

  • The students experienced their first flight, flying over Murang’a County.
  • Dr. Stanley Kamau, an alumnus of Karunge Day Secondary School, stated that all secondary schools in Kenya should be free, covering tuition, uniforms, and food.
  • One of the students, George Kariuki, expressed his excitement, stating, "I have never experienced the feeling of flying in any plane. The highest I have been is on top of a tree."
