This increase is largely attributed to a rush by dealers to register 2018-manufactured vehicles before the eight-year age limit for imports expired on December 31, 2025.

A total of 31,595 new vehicles were registered in December 2025, the highest monthly total for the year, up from 27,219 in November.
Motorcycles continued to dominate registrations with 19,572 units in December, reflecting sustained demand for affordable transport.
