KSh63 million in NYOTA Business Start-Up Capital was disbursed to 2,520 beneficiaries in Garissa County.
The President stated he personally designed the NYOTA program to eliminate corruption and ensure transparency, criticizing previous poorly executed youth projects.
The program is set to disburse a total of KSh375 million to 7,500 beneficiaries in Garissa, including 2,500 refugees from the Dadaab Refugee Complex.
President Ruto also announced significant infrastructure developments in Garissa, including a Sh279 million tuition block at Garissa University and a Sh750 million investment in college and university hostels.
