Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale announced that the government has collected Sh142 billion in Social Health Authority (SHA) premiums, with 29.4 million Kenyans now registered. This significant increase from 7 million under the defunct NHIF was revealed during the Intergovernmental Budget and Economic Council (IBEC) meeting.

• SHA has paid out Sh102.3 billion to health facilities for patient services.
• CS Duale urged County Governments to submit accurate bank details for clearing pending bills and to sign National Equipment Service Programme (NESP) addendums.
• The National Treasury will release Sh2 billion for free maternal services at Level 2 and Level 3 facilities, and several counties are actively paying premiums for vulnerable populations.
