Nairobi Region hockey champions Mwiki Secondary School and Hospital Hill commenced the 2026 Term One games with dominant victories, signaling their intent to defend their titles.

• Mwiki Secondary School girls’ team scored a total of 15 goals across two matches, beating Precious Blood Riruta 8-0 and Moi Girls Nairobi 7-0.
• Gloria Okenyuri scored a hat-trick for Mwiki against Precious Blood.
• The boys’ team from Hospital Hill defeated Moi Forces Academy (MFA) 5-0.
• Mwiki boys followed suit, winning 1-0 against Dr Ribeiro Parklands and 3-0 against MFA.
• Former national champions Pangani Girls had a slow start with a 1-1 draw against Mt Larvena and a 1-0 loss to State House Girls.
