Kenya Airways (KQ) has warned passengers of flight delays up to four hours as a strike by the Kenya Aviation Workers Union (KAWU) enters its second day, disrupting operations at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

• KQ adjusted its flight network and advised passengers to check their flight status and rebooking options.
• The strike began despite a court order issued by Lady Justice Agnes Nzei on Friday last week, temporarily halting the industrial action.
• KAWU initiated the strike after the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) repeatedly failed to negotiate a new Collective Bargaining Agreement since 2015.
• Passengers, like Collins Sankale and Doki Wada, reported extensive waits and limited communication, with some waiting for 10 hours or having flights cancelled after boarding.
