The opening leg of ANZA Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is set for February 26th at Alchemist, Nairobi, featuring fighters from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. This event highlights the growing MMA talent in East Africa, with Season Two of the promotion beginning this month.

• The co-main event features Uganda’s Rymond Wandendeya against Magloire Kayembe from the Elite Training Center in Lubumbashi.
• Isack Ibrahim, a decorated Muay Thai striker from Tanzania, will transition fully into MMA against Jeanpy Michaelipes from Congo’s Elite Training Center.
• Former UFC Light Heavyweight title challenger and Strikeforce Champion Renato “Babalu” Sobral is expected to attend.
• Peng Chen, Founder of ANZA MMA, expressed pride in creating opportunities for martial artists and raising competition standards in the region.
