The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) announced that the Greenpark terminus pedestrian underpass, a Ksh2 billion project, is 99 percent complete and is expected to open to the public by June.

• The underpass, designed to serve pedestrians in the Haile Selassie, Mombasa Road, Uhuru Highway, and Ng'ong Road roundabout area, will feature CCTV cameras, seven elevators for persons with disabilities, and sufficient lighting.
• Director General Engineer Luka Kimeli stated construction is focused on critical infrastructure like drainage systems and manholes.
• This project is a pilot initiative, with plans to replicate similar underpasses at five to six other junctions across the city, including the ongoing Kenyatta Avenue Viaduct and Junction Mall Flyover, which is a KSh3.58 billion project expected by July 2027.
