The Kenyan Government and the private sector, led by the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA), have reached an agreement to strengthen security and disaster management for national events. This collaboration aims to prioritize the safety of participants and enhance the country's conference tourism sector.

A multi-stakeholder working group will create a national event safety and security framework, setting standards for various events.
The discussions were led by Internal Security and National Administration Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo and KEPSA Security Board Chairperson Annette Kimitei.
The new framework will address key areas such as crowd management, medical preparedness, fire safety, and counter-terrorism coordination.
