Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has urged the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) to focus on ensuring a credible 2027 General Election, following Charles Kanjama's election as the new LSK President.

• Gachagua commended Kanjama's record on adherence to the Constitution and rule of law, while criticizing the current government's alleged constitutional violations.
• Kanjama was elected the 52nd President of LSK with 3,728 votes, succeeding Faith Odhiambo.
• The LSK is expected to play a leading role in protecting national assets and ensuring the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) delivers a free and fair election.
