Protests have erupted in Kitengela, Kenya, following the fatal shooting of Vincent Ayomo by a stray bullet during a political rally last Sunday. Businesses are closed, and movement is paralysed as youth demand justice, leading to clashes with police.

• Ayomo, 28, died from a gunshot wound to the left eye, fracturing his spinal cord and damaging his brain, according to an autopsy report released on Thursday.
• The incident occurred during an "illegal gathering" rally by a splinter faction of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), led by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino.
• The Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) has launched a high-priority investigation into Ayomo's death, deploying a rapid response team to Kajiado County.
