He was deployed to the Ukrainian frontline with the 13th Brigade Tank Battalion, which included six Kenyans.
His father, Chief Jacob Njehia, reported him missing to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after learning one of Kevin's colleagues was killed and receiving an unconfirmed message about Kevin being injured.
Before his disappearance, Kevin sent his father Sh120,000 and expressed concerns about being paid Sh200,000 instead of the promised Sh300,000.
