The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has intensified its anti-drug crackdown in Kenya's Coast region, conducting multi-agency raids that led to several arrests and significant seizures of suspected narcotics.

• Multiple individuals were arrested across various locations including Kisimani, Majaoni (Shanzu), Ukunda Township, and Lungalunga.
• Suspected narcotics, including a whitish powdery substance and dry plant material believed to be cannabis, were recovered, alongside KSh 3,700 in suspected proceeds of crime and unserviceable mobile phones.
• The operations, which are a top priority for the DCI, were carried out by the Anti-Narcotics Unit (Coast Region) and the Operation Support Unit from DCI Headquarters based on credible intelligence.
