Lawyer Chris Kabiro has escalated a legal battle to the Court of Appeal, challenging a High Court judgment that declared Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru the rightful owner of a Sh200 million palatial home in Kitisuru, Nairobi.
- The Environment and Land Court (ELC) ruled on February 19, 2026, ordering Kihingo Village (Waridi Gardens) Limited to complete the sale transaction to Ms Waiguru within 30 days.
- Mr. Kabiro, who also claims ownership of House ID at Kihingo Village, filed a notice of appeal against the entire judgment through his lawyer Titus Koceyo.
- Former Tetu MP James Ndung’u Gethenji testified that Governor Waiguru purchased the house for Sh80 million in September 2015 and has resided there since.
- Mr. Gethenji alleged that Mr. Kabiro was removed from involvement after being accused of forging a sale agreement and failing to remit over Sh80 million from other property sales.
