Lawyer Chris Kabiro has escalated a legal battle to the Court of Appeal, challenging a High Court judgment that declared Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru the rightful owner of a Sh200 million palatial home in Kitisuru, Nairobi.

The Environment and Land Court (ELC) ruled on February 19, 2026, ordering Kihingo Village (Waridi Gardens) Limited to complete the sale transaction to Ms Waiguru within 30 days.
Mr. Kabiro, who also claims ownership of House ID at Kihingo Village, filed a notice of appeal against the entire judgment through his lawyer Titus Koceyo.
Former Tetu MP James Ndung’u Gethenji testified that Governor Waiguru purchased the house for Sh80 million in September 2015 and has resided there since.
Mr. Gethenji alleged that Mr. Kabiro was removed from involvement after being accused of forging a sale agreement and failing to remit over Sh80 million from other property sales.
