A tragic accident occurred early Monday when a passenger bus traveling from Pokhara to Kathmandu plunged into the Trishuli River in Nepal's Dhading district, resulting in significant loss of life.

• 18 people, including an unknown foreign national, were killed in the incident.
• The bus, reportedly carrying 45 passengers, fell off the highway into the river.
• Mohan Prasad Neupane, a spokesperson for the district administration office, confirmed that most of the 27 injured have been transported to hospitals in Kathmandu for further treatment.
