A Nairobi court has ordered the release of Somali presidential candidate Nasa Ige after nearly two weeks in custody, who was arrested on suspicion of terrorism financing and possessing multiple passports.

• Nasa Ige was detained on February 11 at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
• He was apprehended by officers from the Anti-Terrorism Police Unit (ATPU).
• The court heard that Australia and New Zealand had confirmed the validity of passports from their countries, while confirmation for his Somali diplomatic passport was pending.
