A man is in critical condition after his girlfriend allegedly attacked him with hot water and stole over Ksh.318,000 on the eve of Valentine's Day in Umoja 1 Estate, Nairobi.

• The victim, Steve Godia, suffered severe burns to his face.
• The suspect, identified as Gladwell Kagai, is at large.
• The assault allegedly stemmed from suspicions about an ex-girlfriend, and the suspect also allegedly took two mobile phones.
