A court hearing the inquest into the killing of activist Rex Masai has dismissed a police bid to reclaim arms movement registers from Central Police Station.

• The court upheld its earlier order directing that the registers be kept in police custody to ensure the integrity of the inquest.
• The National Police Service (NPS) had argued that retaining the registers in court breached statutory provisions and prejudiced proceedings.
• The inquest was adjourned for the second time this year to March 25, 2026, due to lawyers' prior engagements.
