Kenya has launched the "Building Fair Futures" initiative to significantly advance gender equity and climate resilience within its construction sector.

• Currently, women constitute less than 3% of Kenya’s construction workforce, with 55% excluded from formal financial services.
• Key players include the Global Buildings Performance Network (GBPN), the National Construction Authority (NCA), the State Department of Public Works, Women in Real Estate (WiRE), and the Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK).
• The initiative introduces the JEDI Toolkit and the She Builds Sustainably Training program to empower marginalized groups and decarbonize the sector.
