The Automobile Association of Kenya (AA Kenya) has introduced a new, tamper-proof International Driving Permit (IDP) to combat the rising issue of counterfeit permits used by Kenyan drivers abroad.

• The new IDP features enhanced security and is digitally verifiable by Interpol, preventing the forgery that has led to arrests of Kenyan motorists in over 150 countries.
• AA Kenya, in collaboration with international motoring organizations, is issuing the permit.
• The IDP simplifies international travel for work, study, business, or leisure, allowing Kenyans to legally drive abroad without local tests and potentially opening up job opportunities.
