Six Kenyan judges are suing the government, including the Attorney General and Treasury PS, for failing to pay them a court-awarded sum of Sh124 million following a three-year delay in their appointments.

• The judges were awarded the compensation after waiting three years to be appointed as recommended by the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).
• The lawsuit names the Attorney General, Solicitor General Shadrack Mose, and PS Treasury Chris Kiptoo as respondents.
• The High Court ruled in October 2024 that the judges suffered mental and psychological anguish due to the executive's inaction, awarding Sh20 million to each judge plus Sh4 million in costs.
