The Nyanza region's stalled road projects are being revived thanks to a Ksh.120 billion securitization deal for the road maintenance levy. Initial payments have already kickstarted significant works, including the completion of service roads at the Mamboleo interchange.

Ksh.400 million has been paid to resume construction along the Mamboleo, Miwani road.
Transport CS Davis Chirchir encouraged contractors, assuring timely payments.
By the end of 2025, approximately 311 kilometers of roads across six Nyanza counties are expected to be completed.
