A new AI-powered platform has been launched in Nairobi to connect women and young Kenyans with jobs in the country's growing green economy, aiming to overcome historical barriers to employment in these sectors.

• The initiative is part of the Employment Promotion for Women for the Green Transformation in Africa (WE4D) programme, developed by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and Fuzu Ltd.
• It targets sectors like renewable energy, circular economy, sustainable agriculture, waste management, and eco-tourism.
• The platform offers personalized job alerts, skills assessments, and career coaching, with employers gaining merit-based recruitment tools and support for gender-responsive hiring.
