• MPs ordered the State House Comptroller to halt the construction of any high-rise buildings near State houses and lodges due to security threats.
• The National Assembly’s Administration and Internal Security committee is investigating the authorization and ownership of the 250-bed capacity hotel, which is reportedly 90 percent complete.
• The State House Comptroller confirmed that the government is actively recovering encroached land near State houses and lodges across the country, with 100 acres already recovered in Kakamega.
