The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has arrested four officials from the Gatundu North Constituency NG-CDF Committee for allegedly extorting money from a contractor.

Ksh 300,000 was demanded from a contractor to approve a pending payment.
The arrested individuals include Annah Mugure Njoroge, Susan Wanjiru Muchiri, Stephen Waititu Mungai, and James Kibe Ngige.
The suspects were apprehended on 25 February 2026 at Karure Primary School while receiving part of the bribe.
