Hundreds of Kenyans have allegedly been lured to fight under a one-year contract with promises of significant bonuses and salaries.
Key individuals and government departments implicated include the Department of Defence, Immigration, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), and the Ministry of Labour.
Recruits were allegedly offered a bonus of Ksh.1,600,000 and a monthly salary of Ksh.280,000.
