Borge Brende, President and CEO of the World Economic Forum (WEF), has stepped down following an independent review of his connections to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

• Borge Brende acknowledged dining with Epstein three times between 2018 and 2019 but stated he was "completely unaware" of his criminal activity.

• Alois Zwinggi will serve as the interim president and CEO while a successor is sought.
