• The incident involved a topical acyclovir formulation mistakenly dispensed for ocular use, leading to complications for a child.
• The Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya (PSK) confirmed the individual in the video is not a licensed pharmacist and not a member.
• The PSK urged the Pharmacy and Poisons Board to investigate the incident and enhance prescription verification and patient safety measures.
