Kenyan authorities detained and deported Zimbabwean lawyer Brian Kagoro, Managing Director of Programs for Open Society Foundations, upon his arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi.

• Kagoro was detained for over 10 hours and later deported to Johannesburg without formal charges or written reasons.
• The deportation order cited Section 54 of the Kenya Citizenship and Immigration Act of 2011, related to documentation offences.
