A government helicopter, registration 5Y-DSB, crashed in Chepkiep, Mosop constituency, Nandi County, shortly after departing Tabolwa on Saturday. The crash claimed the lives of Emur Dikirr MP Johana Ngeno, pilot Captain George Were, and others.

• The helicopter made multiple stopovers across several towns including Emur Dikirr, Mararianta, Endebes, and Eldoret before the incident.
• The Aircraft Accident Investigation Department (AAID) has launched an investigation and will issue a preliminary report within 30 days.
