Kenya's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has criticized Parliament for revoking the diplomatic privileges and immunities of the Global Center for Adaptation (GCA), a climate change agency headquartered in Nairobi.

• The National Assembly voted to nullify the privileges on Tuesday, February 24, based on a procedural technicality concerning a legal notice.
• Principal Secretary Korir Sing’oei stated that the nullification was based on an oversight by Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and lamented the committee's decision to proceed without hearing from the ministry.
• Despite the controversy, PS Sing’oei confirmed that GCA's activities in Kenya remain unaffected, and a new legal notice will be prepared and submitted to Parliament.
