Nairobi residents will face increased charges for water and sewerage services as the Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company (NCWSC) has revised its tariffs. The price hike, approved by the Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB), is set to take effect soon.

• A domestic customer using 10,000 litres per month will now pay Sh748, an increase from Sh538.
• The tariff increase, ranging between 20 and 30 percent, is attributed to rising operating costs and the need to fund infrastructure upgrades by NCWSC.
• NCWSC's Acting Managing Director Martin Nang’ole highlighted the necessity of the revision due to Nairobi's growing population (over 5 million) and increased demand in developing areas like South B and Kilimani.
