Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested a notorious fugitive, Evans Simiyu Wanyonyi, also known as "Boyi", in Trans Nzoia County. The suspect is believed to be responsible for a series of criminal activities in the region.

• The arrest followed an intelligence-led dawn raid by officers from Waitaluk Police Station in Chebarus Village.
• Recovered items from the suspect's residence and a follow-up operation include assorted stolen property, electronic devices, government property such as police boots and hospital equipment, and crude weapons.
• Several residents have positively identified some of the recovered items as their stolen property.
