A Muslim cleric has pleaded guilty to committing indecent acts on multiple children at a mosque in Nyeri.

• The cleric, Eid Ali, admitted to eight counts involving seven children aged between 5 and 14.
• The offences occurred between 2022 and 2025 inside the Othaya Muslim mosque during Madrassa classes.
• Principal Magistrate Sandra Ogot presided over the case at the Othaya Law Courts, with the facts of the case set to be heard on March 10, 2026.
