An Imam based in Othaya, Nyeri County, has pleaded guilty to seven counts of indecent acts with minors and one count of abuse of trust. The offences allegedly occurred between 2022 and November 2025 at the Othaya Community Muslim Mosque.

• Iddi Ali Koitat pleaded guilty to seven counts of indecent acts with children aged between five and fourteen years.
• The accused, an Imam, will be remanded at Othaya Police Station until March 10, 2026.
• In a separate case, six officers from the Kenya Wildlife Service are on their defence over the disappearance of a fisherman in Lake Nakuru National Park.
