The Nairobi County Assembly has unanimously approved an Ksh.80 billion cooperation agreement between the national government and the Nairobi City County government for infrastructure and service transformation.

The agreement, signed by Governor Johnson Sakaja and Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi, will inject Ksh.80 billion into the county.
The Nairobi County Assembly, however, is also reportedly pursuing a fresh bid to remove Governor Sakaja from office, citing 22 new charges of alleged failure to fulfill development promises.
Funds will be managed under a structured oversight framework, with a steering committee given 30 days to present a working report.
