Kenya is actively seeking to renew its contract with the World Rallying Championships (WRC) for the Safari Rally, as the current six-year agreement concludes this year.

• The Safari Rally is the last event in the WRC series and is scheduled to begin in Naivasha on March 12.
• Mr. Maina Muturi, FIA's Kenya representative and President of the Kenya Motorsports Federation (KMSF), is optimistic about contract renewal, citing Kenya's adherence to FIA requirements and the rally's global viewership of over 500 million.
• Kenya has implemented enhanced security measures, including hosting the rally on private land, to ensure the safety of drivers and fans.
