Allies of ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna have lodged a formal objection against the registration of "Linda Mwananchi" as a political party, alleging an attempt to hijack their reformist platform.

• The objection was filed by a team including Siaya Governor James Orengo and MPs such as Babu Owino, on behalf of Mr. Sifuna and other leaders.
• The group claims the "Linda Mwananchi" slogan has been organically developed as their reformist platform and warns that its registration as a party without their involvement could lead to fraudulent conduct and mislead the public.
• The application to register "Linda Mwananchi" was reportedly lodged by Mr. Charles Wanyonyi, and the application is currently under review by the Registrar of Political Parties.
