Chief Justice Martha Koome has announced several judicial appointments and the establishment of new court stations, including a dedicated anti-corruption judge, just under a year before the next general elections.

• Gerald Muuo Mutiso appointed to preside over corruption and economic crime cases.
• Notable appointments also include members to the Co-operative Tribunal and the Public-Private Partnerships Petition Committee.
• New Small Claims Court stations established in Kiambu, Machakos, Nakuru, Kilifi, Homa Bay, and Bungoma, along with Court of Appeal sub-registries in Embu, Kakamega, and Meru set to open on April 1, 2026.
