Kenya's Chief Justice Martha Koome has announced a significant expansion of court services across the country, aiming to improve access to justice and reduce backlogs.

• 8 new Court of Appeal stations, bringing the total to eight nationwide.
• 55 Small Claims Courts (SCC) established, a substantial increase from previous numbers.
• CJ Koome stated the expansion will reduce travel distances and legal costs for litigants, particularly in the Eastern and Western regions.
