• A butcher, Mr. Allan Sienya, reported a drastic drop in daily sales from approximately Sh20,000 to Sh4,000 after the factory's operational issues began around 2008.
• The ongoing construction of the 63-kilometre Mamboleo–Miwani–Chemelil–Muhoroni–Kipsitet Road is expected to improve connectivity and trade, restoring the town's economic vibrancy.
