President William Ruto has signed three significant Bills into law at State House, Nairobi, aiming to reform key sectors in Kenya.

• The Coffee Act, 2023, restructures the coffee industry by transferring regulatory and commercial roles to the Coffee Board of Kenya and establishes a new Coffee Research and Training Institute.
• The Miscellaneous Fees and Levies (Amendment) Act, 2026, expands the scope of the Railway Development Levy to support broader railway infrastructure development and establishes the Railway Development Levy Fund and Board.
• The Meteorology Act, 2023, creates a legal framework for meteorological services, establishing the Kenya Meteorological Service Authority and the Meteorology Training and Research Directorate.
