The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) is actively investigating 67 cases of alleged mismanagement and corruption within the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF).

• The EACC has confirmed that these cases involve various forms of malpractice including conflict of interest, procurement fraud, and embezzlement of public funds.
• EACC CEO Abdi Mohamud stated these investigations are at different stages within the criminal justice system.
• Notable instances include officials awarding themselves contracts through proxy companies and issuing bursaries for ghost students, with one contractor allegedly being irregularly awarded 49 tenders and paid over Sh66 million.
